This is an exciting new adventure for me. I started writing children's poetry when my own children were very small. I took a class in college about introducing literature to children. Our assignment was come up with idea's on how to make reading fun. So the poetry theme came to mind. Each poem has different activities to help enhance your child's love of the written word.
Children learn through a variety of ways, from music to touching and seeing. Each poem has approximatly 3 activities to choose from. Not all children learn the same way so finding what inspires your child's desire to learn is the fun part. Having three children of my own, I found one had to be moving and doing hands on learning. Asking this child to sit and be quite frustrated him. The other child liked a quite space where she could listen to the instruction and implement them. My youngest was little of both her older siblings. So understanding that each child requires a different approach is very beneficial.

They are in color, so you need to make sure your printer is set up to print in color format. You can purchase a binder that has a see through pocket on cover allowing you to put the cover page of the poetry book in it. I also purchase plastic sheet protectors to put the poems in.
